About our Shipping Process
We ship our products anywhere within the USA and rely on the good people at UPS for timely delivery.
Due to the perishable nature of our products, we ship Monday – Thursday to prevent your package from sitting over the weekend in a shipping facility. Orders placed after 3pm CST on Thursday will not ship until the following Monday. All shipping addresses must include a physical street address, apartment and or suite number. UPS is unable to deliver to a PO Box. There will be a $10.00 package fee added to your order. This includes icepacks and an insulated box to ship your product. Freshness Guarantee. The packaging fee will be added to your order when you check out.
We offer UPS Ground, 2nd Day or Overnight delivery options. Our shipping charges are the actual UPS shipping cost. We do not inflate the price of our products to offer cheap or “free” shipping; sometimes this means shipping charges will exceed the cost of the product on small orders. You may consider making the most of the minimum shipping charges by adding additional items to your order. As you add products to your shopping cart, use our “Estimate Shipping” in the “view cart” section to view shipping options and estimated shipping cost. (Actual shipping cost will be calculated when you proceed to check out.) If the area you are shipping to is over 60 degrees, shipping UPS Ground Method is not advisable. Please select UPS 2nd Day Air or UPS Overnight Shipping. Due to the fact cheese is a “perishable” product.
Processing Time: While we strive to ship orders within 24 hours with UPS, once the package leaves our facility, we are not responsible for how the package is handled. This also includes weather, mechanical, or other factors. We are not responsible for shipments that end up missing after delivery or sitting outside all day in a warm climate. Please ensure the recipient is home for the package to arrive or have it shipped to the recipient’s place of business to ensure safe delivery.
Damage: If any damage would occur with your shipment, please contact us at either by email sales@ellsworthcheese.com or 715-273-4311 * 227. Due to the perishable nature of our products, we are unable to accept returns.
A Note about Holiday Shipping: Christmas is our busiest time of year, and our staff cheerfully goes the extra mile to process orders as quickly as possible. Orders are sent out as they are received. We are unable to “hold” orders for shipment at a later date.
Despite their best efforts, UPS may not be able to maintain their typical 3-5 business days for Ground delivery. Delivery time is only guaranteed when using UPS Overnight or 2nd-Day Air services. Delivery dates for Ground shipments are never guaranteed, and during the holiday season, they may not guarantee Express shipping in some cases. While this is out of our control, we know they’ll do their best to make your holiday season cheesy and bright.
